Use Return Reason Code Maintenance to set up the reasons merchandise is returned. The return reason codes created can be used during data entry in the RMA Entry window and RMA Receipts Entry window.

Expand/Collapse item  Before You Begin

Note that there are three predefined return reason codes:

  • CHANGE – Customer Changed Mind

  • DAMAGED – Damaged During Shipping

  • DEFECTIVE – Defective Part

You cannot edit or delete these predefined codes; however, you can edit their descriptions.

 

To set up return reason codes

  1. Select Return Merchandise Authorization Setup menu > Return Reason Code Maintenance.

  2. Enter a return reason code and description. For more information, see Return Reason Code Maintenance – Fields.

  3. When finished, click Accept.

The return reason code is created.
