Use the following steps to split the contents for a shipping line into two packages in Shipping Data Entry.

 

To split the contents for a line into two packages

  1. On the Sales Order Shipping menu, select Shipping Data Entry.

  2. Enter the shipper ID and sales order number. The first package number defaults to 1. For more information, see Shipping Data Entry - Fields.

  3. In the Shipped column, enter the number of items that will go into package 1 for each line.  

  4. Click the Next Package No. button. The package number changes to 2.

  5. In the Shipped field for each line, enter the total quantity that will be shipped.

The program automatically subtracts the quantity from package 1 and puts the difference in package 2.

In Packing List Printing, select the Print Additional Packing Lists with Contents check box to print a packing list with the contents for each package. The first packing list will have the total quantity shipped, and then an individual list for each package is generated.
