Expand/Collapse item  Overview

In the Sales Order and Return Merchandise Authorization modules, windows with a Change View button allow you to view the window in normal or expanded view. The expanded view allows you to view more entries on the Lines tab. These wide and normal views are composed separate panels in the library file to which you can add UDFs. When a UDF is added to one of these panels, it should be added to the other panel as well.

The windows that currently support this feature are the Sales Order Entry, S/O Invoice Data Entry, RMA Entry, and RMA Receipts Entry. The Change View button is available only if the screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768 or higher.

To add a UDF to a panel with multiple views

  1. Select Custom Office Main menu > Customizer Selection.

  2. Select the Sales Order or Return Merchandise panel to add a UDF to. Panels that have a corresponding wide view have similar names, except that the wide panel ends with W; for example, DMAIN and DMAINW. For more information, see Select a Panel.

  3. On the Customizer Toolbar, click the Add Field button.

  1. On the panel, click and drag to position the UDF. Note the position and size of the UDF.

  2. In the Field Selection window, select the appropriate data source and field. To view all fields for the selected panel, click Show All. The Show All button toggles to the Show UDFs button. To view only the user-defined fields available for the selected panel, click the Show UDFs button.

Note  If you select a field from the MAIN data source, the field data can be maintained. If you select a field from any other data source, the field can only be viewed.

  1. Click Select to select the field and exit the Field Selection window.

  2. Click the Exit button to exit the panel. You are prompted to save your customizations. Click Yes to save the panel customizations.

  6. On the panel, click and drag to position the UDF. Be sure to position the UDF in the same place and with the same size as the UDF added to the corresponding panel. If the UDFs are not the same size between panels, when you change the view it causes the appearance that the UDF has moved.

  8. Click Select to select the field and exit the Field Selection window.

  9. Click the Exit button to exit the panel. You are prompted to save your customizations. Click Yes to save the panel customizations.
