 What version of SAP Crystal Reports can be used with Business Insights?

SAP Crystal Reports version 2016.

 

 Can I create a report in one company and run it from another company?

Yes, you can create a report for any company that has been set up within Sage 100; however, the report will only run the report for those views and modules that are registered for each company. For example, an Accounts Receivable report will not run for companies that do not have the Accounts Receivable module activated for the company.

 

 Do I need to modify the report every time I want to run it?

You can run the report without modifying it by selecting the report in Business Insights Reporter and clicking Proceed.

 

Is it possible to determine what view I am in when modifying or copying a report?

It is possible to determine the view you are in only while creating the report in the Business Insights Reporter Wizard (on the Select View page) or by clicking the Wizard Listing link on the last wizard page.

 

 Do non-runtime and runtime filters apply to SAP Crystal Reports?

Only non-runtime filters are applied when accessing and running the report within SAP Crystal Reports Designer.

 

 Can I define a chain sequence of reports created in the Business Insights Reporter wizard to print one after the other?

Yes, the Define Chain Report page accessed in the Business Insights Reporter Wizard allows you to determine what report to chain to and the report setting used for the chain-to report.

 

Troubleshooting

 

 Why doesn't my report show the changes I made to it? I added a field to the report and do not see the field.

You will only be able to see the modifications on the report if you selected the Regenerate the Crystal .RPT check box on the Define Report Name wizard page while using the Business Insights Reporter Wizard.
