Select Sales Order Main menu > Sales Order Entry. In the Sales Order Entry window, click Copy From.
Use Copy From to copy from existing sales orders/quotes, sales order/quote history, or accounts receivable invoice history information.
You can merge all header, line, and totals information from the source document; this information overwrites any information previously entered on the Sales Order Entry Header tab. If the source document contains a line with an item that is no longer on file, a comment line is created in its place. After a copy is completed, you can change any information, including the customer number. Additionally, the ability to recalculate prices ensures that all lines contain current pricing. If the source document contains a customer whose status is set to Inactive in Customer Maintenance, a message appears warning that the customer is inactive and cannot be used.
If the source document contains a warehouse on the header or lines that has been deleted or that has a status of Restricted or Inactive, the default warehouse will be used instead. If the default warehouse is not on file or has a status of Restricted or Inactive, a message appears asking you to select an active warehouse in the Defaults window to proceed.
Note A copy cannot be performed after lines are entered on the sales order you are copying to.
If you enter a Sage CRM customer number and opportunity in the new order or quote, and then copy a Sage CRM sales order or customer quote, only the line information is copied from the source document. Pricing and taxes are recalculated for the current order or quote based on the customer and tax code header information. The customer number and opportunity cannot be changed after the source document is copied.
If you do not enter a Sage CRM customer number and opportunity in the new order or quote, and then copy a Sage CRM sales order or customer quote, all information is copied from the source document. The customer number and opportunity cannot be changed after the source document is copied.
Note Sage CRM prospect quotes cannot be copied.
