Using Special Characters in Global Search | ||
On the Sage 100 Desktop Home tab, click the Global Search button.
Note When accessing Global Search for the first time, a message appears prompting you to build the search index. If you're building the index for a large amount of data, this process can take some time.
Use Global Search to search all historical and static data in Sage 100. For example, you can search to find all A/R invoice records associated with a specific purchase order number, or find all inventory items that belong to the same product line.
Enter full or partial text in the Search field, and either search in all companies or a specific company for selected entities. Click Search to display a list of records matching the criteria. Select an entry in the Results list box, and click the View Entry button to view detailed information.
Note 1 You must have the appropriate security setup to view search results. For example, if you perform a search in the Customer and Vendor entities but do not have security permissions to access Vendor Inquiry, the search will only return results for the Customer entity.
Note 2 If entities have been updated, such as a new customer or inventory item has been added, click Build Index to build the search index again. This includes the new records in the Global Search.
