How are Sage 100 purchase order types and statuses different from those in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence?
About Purchase Order types
In Sage 100, you can create the following types of purchase orders: Standard Order, Drop Ship, Master Order, Repeating Order, Material Requisition, and Quote.
There are no purchase order types in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence. Instead, order statuses describe the different states of a purchase order in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
About Purchase Order statuses
Sage 100 uses the following purchase order statuses to describe the state of an order:
- New: The order is new.
- Open: When a new order is printed, the order status changes to Open.
- Change: When an existing order or back order is being modified and a change order must be printed for the vendor, select the Change status.
- Received: An order is automatically assigned this status when the order is completely received in Receipt of Goods Entry.
- Back Order: If one or more lines on the order have a back-ordered quantity of greater than zero, the order status changes to Back Order.
- Completed: When an order in Received status is invoiced and the Daily Receipt Registers/Update process is run, the order status changes from Received to Completed.
Sage Supply Chain Intelligence uses the following purchase order statuses to describe the state of an order:
- Draft: The order is new.
- Active: After an order is issued, the order is emailed to supplier contacts and others defined in the workflow, and the order status changes to Active.
- Canceled: This status cancels an active order.
- Completed: All workflow steps are done.
When I create a purchase order in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence, what is the order numbering method?
Sage Supply Chain Intelligence auto-generates purchase order numbers with the following default settings:
- Static text prefix: A
- Dynamic element: Auto-incrementing number

The Sage 100 service user performing data syncs must be assigned a role with the following tasks permission.

What purchase orders sync from Sage 100 to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence?
First-Time sync from Sage 100 to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence
Purchase orders created in Sage 100 must meet specific criteria to sync to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
In a first-time sync, Sage 100 standard and drop-ship purchase orders that have an order status other than Received or Completed are uploaded and assigned the Draft order status in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
Sage 100 master orders, repeating orders, and material requisitions do not sync to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
Note You can use the following options to set additional requirements that determine if standard and drop-ship purchase orders sync from Sage 100 to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
- Use the Allow Sync for Sage Supply Chain Intelligence check box in Vendor Maintenance to determine if purchase orders for a specific vendor sync from Sage 100 to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
- Use the Sync to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence check box in Purchase Order Entry to determine if a specific purchase order syncs from Sage 100 to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence. If this check box is selected and the purchase order syncs to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence and then the check box is cleared, the purchase order in SSCI will be canceled upon the next scheduled sync or when the Sync Now button is clicked in the Sage Supply Chain Intelligence Setup app.

Orders must meet specific criteria to sync from Sage Supply Chain Intelligence to Sage 100. For example, an order created in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence that is in Draft status will not sync to Sage 100.

What data is not synced from Sage 100 to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence?
The following Sage 100 information is not synced:
- inactive vendors
- inactive items
- discount
- freight
- taxes
- invalid miscellaneous items, charges, or comments that cannot be used on Sage 100 purchase orders
- If the Allow Sync for Sage Supply Chain Intelligence check box is cleared in Vendor Maintenance, purchase orders for the selected vendor are not synced.
- If the Sync to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence check box is cleared in Purchase Order Entry, the selected purchase order is not synced.
Why are my vendor contacts not syncing to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence?
The vendor contact must have an email address to sync to Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
Where are my special items in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence?
Special items display in the Other items section on the Order detail in Sage Supply Chain Intelligence.
