Site Bar
On the Site Bar, you select a site and a mode for accessing applications, and then use the Applications icons to start Sage 100 and other applications.
Site
The site for your company (or companies) is created as part of the initial purchase and set up of Sage 100.
If you have set up only one site, that site is automatically selected. If you have set up multiple sites, they are ordered alphabetically and you can switch between them. A scroll bar automatically appears in the site list display, if needed.
Note: If you're managing 13 or more sites, site filter options appear. These include a filter operation selector and an input field to filter the site list. You can select from the following filter operations:
- Starts With
- Ends With
- Contains
If selected criteria filters out all sites, <No Results> displays in the site name field.
Mode
Specify one of the following modes in which to run applications:
Note: If you're accessing the home page using a browser other than Microsoft Edge, the Mode field does not display and applications launch in Browser Mode by default.
-
Browser Mode. Run applications directly in your favorite browser.
Running multiple appsIf you're running an application in Browser mode and return to the home page to open another application for the same site, the following happens when you open the second application:
- The existing browser tab might close depending on your browser.
- A new instance of the browser window opens.
- Both the app that you were already running and the one that you just opened are running in the same tab.
Note: One application may be completely covering another one. In some cases the application that was most recently opened is hidden behind another one.
You may have unexpected results if you have multiple browser windows open at the same time. Even though the browser is running in separate windows, they are considered one session by the browser application, and conflicts might occur.
-
Windows Mode. Run applications in a remote desktop window. To use this mode, you must open the Sage 100 home page in Microsoft Edge version 79 or later or Internet Explorer.
For more information, see About modes for running applications.
Applications
After specifying a site and a mode, use the Applications icons to start Sage 100, and to find and use additional resources and services.
If you use the Microsoft Edge browser, when starting an application you are asked to open Sage.RdpLauncher.Client.application, which you must do to start the application. Also, the very first time you start an application, you must run SageLauncher.
Note: In addition to the following icons, more Application icons appear if you added them using the Dynamic Cards feature. For more information, see Adding an application to the home page.
