Cleaning up the replicated site

After completing the steps in the Performing user migration section, complete the following to clean up the replicated site.

Suspend the replicated site

Complete these optional steps to ensure no one uses the replicated site while you make changes in the Azure portal.

To suspend the replicated site

  1. Open the Sage Provisioning Portal.
  2. Select Dashboard > Site Dashboard.
  3. Select the replicated site name.
  4. In the Infrastructure panel, take note of the short name at the Virtual machine name field.
  5. In the Operations panel, click Suspend.
  6. Log out of the Sage Provisioning Portal.

Detach drive in Azure

To detach the drive in the Azure portal

  1. In a browser, open portal.azure.com and log in.
  2. Click Resource groups.

    Note: If the Resource groups icon does not appear, search for Resource groups.

  3. On the Resource groups page, enter the short name in the search or filter field (this is the name noted at the Virtual machine name field for the replicated site in the Sage Provisioning Portal).
  4. In the Resources list, select the virtual machine name.
    1. For the virtual machine, on the left under Settings, click Disks.
    2. Scroll down to view the list of attached disks and locate the disk with highest LUN number.
    3. For the disk with the highest LUN number, scroll to the far right, click the Detach button to detach, and then click Apply at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
    4. Wait for the save to complete.

Resume the replicated site

If the replicated site was suspended in the Sage Provisioning Portal while changes were made in Azure, complete these steps to resume the replicated site.

To resume the replicated site

  1. Open the Sage Provisioning Portal.
  2. Select Dashboard > Site Dashboard.
  3. Click the replicated site name.
  4. In the Operations panel, click Resume.
  5. Log out of the Sage Provisioning Portal.

Verify changes to the replicated site

To verify changes

  1. In a browser, open the Sage Partner Cloud for Sage 100 application and log in.
  2. Select the replicated site and click Data Drive.
  3. In File Explorer, view the list of drives for the site and verify the following:
    • G: drive no longer appears
    • E: drive appears
  4. Close File Explorer, and log out of the Sage Partner Cloud for Sage 100 application.

Delete drive in Azure

To delete the drive in the Azure portal

Important! Deleting the drive in the Azure portal is a permanent action and cannot be undone.

  1. Return to the browser logged in to the Azure portal.
  2. Click Disks.

    Note: If the Disks icon does not appear, search for Disks.

  3. On the Disks page, enter the short name in the search or filter field (this is the name noted at the Virtual machine name field for the replicated site in the Sage Provisioning Portal).
  4. In the Name list, select the disk drive that was detached from the replicated site.
  5. In the disk properties screen that appears, verify the Disk state is Unattached, and then click Delete at the top of the page.

    Note: You can only delete detached disks.

  6. Refresh the Disks page, and verify the disk drive has been deleted.

You have completed cleanup tasks for the replicated site.
