When determining whether a missed punch has occurred, lunch punch processing differs slightly from standard TimeCard processing. An entry's elapsed time is calculated from the punch in time through the current time (which may include "out for lunch," "in from lunch," or "out for the day"). This elapsed time is compared to the value in the Maximum Elapsed Time Before Missed Punch Is Assumed field on the TimeClock Shift Maintenance Additional tab. If the elapsed time of an entry is greater than that value, a "missed punch" is assumed.
