If the Punch Out for Lunch and Generate Exception for Lunch Period Deviations check boxes are selected on the TimeClock Shift Maintenance Lunch tab, the following exception codes are used.

The LP (Lunch Period Deviations) code is added to a TimeCard entry if the reported lunch period (after rounding) is not equal to the scheduled lunch period.
Note Exception code processing for entries containing lunch punches are only processed when an employee punches back in from lunch, not when the employee punches out for lunch.
For shift codes that are set up with the Pay Exact Scheduled Time Only check box selected on the TimeClock Shift Maintenance Main tab, the reported lunch period is always equal to the scheduled lunch period and never generates an LP exception code. The ML (Missed Lunch) exception code is applied if the total reported lunch period for that day is zero and the employee was scheduled to take a lunch. The exception is applied if the lunch hours are zero, whether or not the employee actually punched out for and in from lunch.
