Change Type
Select the type of change for this row.
Segment
Select the segment to change. For example, to change the main segment of an account, select Main. To change a subaccount segment, select the appropriate subaccount. This field is available only if Segment is selected in the Change Type field. If Account is selected in the Change Type field, this field displays Full Account and can only be viewed.
Starting Value
Enter the starting value for the range of accounts or segments to change. The entry must be a valid account or segment.

If you selected Account in the Change Type field, enter the starting account value for the range of account numbers to change. The account value entered must exist in the general ledger chart of accounts.

If you selected Segment in the Change Type field, and you selected Main at the Segment field, enter the starting value of the range of main account segments to change. If you selected a subaccount segment in the Segment field, enter the starting value of the range of subaccounts to change. The subaccount entered must have been created in the Sub Account Maintenance window.
Note: Wild card characters cannot be used.

Ending Value
Enter the ending value for the range of accounts or segments to change. This value must be a valid account or segment. If the Starting Value field and Ending Value field are the same and the New Value field does not exist, the range of accounts or segments defined will be renumbered.

New Value
Enter the new value to apply to the range of accounts or segments selected.

If you are changing an account, enter a new account value to apply to the range of values entered in the Starting Value and Ending Value fields. The new main account segment must be within the same financial type as the main account segment entered in the Starting Value field. The account entered must be a valid general ledger account set up in the General Ledger Account Maintenance window. For more information, see Account Maintenance.

If you are changing a main account segment, enter a new main account value to apply to the range of values specified in the Starting Value and Ending Value fields. The new main account segment must be within the same financial type as the main account segment specified in the Starting Value field. If you selected to change a subaccount segment, enter a new subaccount value to apply to the range of values specified in the Starting Value and Ending Value fields.
Note Financial types are defined as:

Recalc Desc
Select this check box to assign the description of the account entered in the New Value field to the new range of accounts or segments. If Account is selected in the Change Type field, the description of the account entered in the New Value field is determined by the Short Description field entered for each segment in the Main Account Maintenance window or Sub Account Maintenance window.
Clear this check box if you do not want to assign the description of the account entered in the New Value field to the new range of accounts or segments.
