Use this procedure to create a custom visual process flow.

  • Ensure you are viewing the Sage 100 Desktop in Detail view.

  • You must have Adobe Flash Player installed to view and modify process flows.

 

To create a custom visual process flow

Warning You must click Save Process Flow to save changes made in the Visual Process Flow Designer.

  1. Select Visual Process Flows Setup menu > Visual Process Flows Manager.

  2. If you have existing custom process flows, click Create a Custom Process Flow to start the Visual Process Flows Wizard. If you do not have an existing custom process flow, the wizard starts automatically.

  3. Proceed through the pages in the wizard.

  4. The name given to the process flow must be unique.

  5. When you enter the name for the process flow, spaces will be replaced by underscores. This name will not appear for users of the process flow. They will see the menu description.

  6. The menu description must be unique for the selected module. For example, you cannot have two process flows for Accounts Receivable with Process Invoices as the menu description, but you can have one Process Invoices process flow in Accounts Receivable and another in Accounts Payable.

  1. On the last page of the wizard, select the check box to access the designer before clicking Finish.

  2. Use the Visual Process Flows Designer to customize the process flow.

For more information on using the designer, click the Help menu on the designer toolbar and select Help site.

  1. When you are finished editing the process flow, click Save Process Flow. To exit the designer without saving your changes, click Exit Designer Mode.

The process flow is saved under the Custom Process Flows menu in the applicable module.
