Bill To Customer Maintenance

Bill To Customer No.

Enter the bill-to customer number, or click the Lookup button to list all customer numbers.

Alternately, start typing a customer name to locate a record. As you type, a list of records matching your entry appears. You can then select a record from the list, and the customer number will appear in the field.

Click the Bill To Customer Entries button to select a bill-to customer previously entered. If the selected customer is on credit hold or has exceeded the credit limit established, a warning message in red appears next to the customer name.

If you enter a customer whose status is set to Inactive in Customer Maintenance, a message appears warning you that the customer is inactive and cannot be used.

 

(Bill To) Name

This field displays the name of the bill-to customer and can only be viewed.

 

(Bill To) Credit Limit

This field displays the credit limit dollar amount and can only be viewed. This field is available only if Customer's Credit Limit Only or Both is selected in the Credit Limit Checking field in Accounts Receivable Options.

 

Sold To Customer No.

Enter the sold-to customer number, or click the Lookup button to list all customer numbers.

Alternately, start typing a customer name to locate a record. As you type, a list of records matching your entry appears. You can then select a record from the list, and the customer number will appear in the field.

Note The sold-to customer number must be different than the bill-to customer number, and it cannot be assigned to an existing bill-to customer.

 

(Sold To) Name

This field displays the name of the sold-to customer and can only be viewed.

 

Credit Hold

This field automatically displays the default value setting from the Default Values for Bill To Customer Maintenance window, but it can be changed. The selection made in this field determines which (bill-to or sold-to) customer’s credit hold is used during data entry for the sold-to customer.

 

Credit Limit

This field automatically displays the default value setting from the Default Values for Bill To Customer Maintenance window, but it can be changed. The selection made in this field determines which (bill-to or sold-to) customer’s credit limit is used during data entry for the sold-to customer.

This field is available only if Customer's Credit Limit Only or Both is selected in the Credit Limit Checking field in Accounts Receivable Options.

 

Default Address

This field automatically displays the default value setting from the Default Values for Bill To Customer Maintenance window, but it can be changed. The selection made in this field determines which (bill-to or sold-to) customer’s bill-to address is used as the default during data entry for the sold-to customer.

 

Customer Pricing

This field automatically displays the default value setting from the Default Values for Bill To Customer Maintenance window, but it can be changed. The selection made in this field determines which (bill-to or sold-to) customer’s pricing is used during data entry for the sold-to customer. This field is available only if the Inventory Management module is installed and activated.

Note If the Enable Default Price Level by Customer check box is selected and Ship-To Code is selected in the Base New Price Level Records On field in Sales Order Options, this field will default to Sold To and can only be viewed.

 

Terms Code

This field automatically displays the default value setting from the Default Values for Bill To Customer Maintenance window, but it can be changed. The selection made in this field determines which (bill-to or sold-to) customer’s terms code is used as the default during data entry for the sold-to customer.
