Expand/Collapse item  Overview

If a customer is related to a Sage CRM company, you can enter sales orders and quotes in Sales Order Entry for the customer and track them in Sage CRM. This information is automatically synchronized with the Sage CRM company. You can access Sales Order Entry from Sage CRM or from within Sage 100 to enter Sage CRM sales orders and customer quotes.

Sage CRM sales orders and customer quotes require the entry of a Sage CRM opportunity. Orders and quotes can then be tracked by opportunity in Sage CRM.

Note You cannot create master or repeating orders for Sage CRM.

  • The Customer Relationship Management module must be set up before sales orders and quotes can be created. For more information, see Set Up Customer Relationship Management for a New Company.

  • Sage CRM companies must be related to Accounts Receivable customers before you can enter Sage CRM information in Sales Order Entry. To enter a prospect quote for a Sage CRM company that is not related to a customer, see Enter a Sage CRM Prospect Quote.

To enter a Sage CRM sales order or customer quote

  1. Access Sales Order Entry using one of the following methods:

  2. Select Sales Order Main menu > Sales Order Entry.

  3. In the Sage CRM software, open the company and opportunity. If you are entering a quote, click the Quotes tab, and then click New Quote. If you are entering an order, click the Orders tab, and then click New Order.

Note Sales orders and quotes require the selection of a Sage CRM company and opportunity and a Sage 100 company. If you are not in the context of a Sage CRM company and opportunity, the Create New Sage CRM Quote/Order window appears, allowing you to enter this information or create a new opportunity on the fly. For information on how to enter an opportunity on the fly, see Enter a Sage CRM Opportunity On the Fly.

  1. If you are accessing Sales Order Entry from within Sage 100, enter the customer number and Sage CRM opportunity. You must enter a customer number that is related to a Sage CRM company. In the Sage CRM Opportunity field, enter the Sage CRM opportunity for this order or quote.

If you are accessing Sales Order Entry from Sage CRM, these fields display the customer and opportunity selected in Sage CRM and can only be viewed. For more information, see Sales Order Entry – Fields.

  1. To copy an existing sales order or quote, click Copy From. Only the line information is copied from the source document, not the order or quote header information. Pricing and taxes are recalculated for the current order or quote based on the customer and tax code header information. Sage CRM prospect quotes cannot be copied. The Copy From button is available only if a customer number is entered in the Customer No. field.

  2. Click the Address tab, and verify the customer address information.

  3. Click the Lines tab. Enter the line item information for the quote or order. For more information, see Enter a Sales Order or Price Quote.

  4. Click the Totals tab and enter any discounts, shipping and freight, payment information, and commission rate if applicable.

  5. To print the sales order or quote, click Quick Print.

  6. Click Accept.

The Sage CRM sales order or customer quote is entered.

If you entered the quote or order from Sage CRM, you can view and access it from the Quotes or Orders tab for the opportunity in Sage CRM. A note is also written back to the Sage CRM company.
