Using this information, you can evaluate the level of completion and profitability of each work order. For any work order, depending on the transaction performed, there are several types of variances that affect the cost of the finished product and can be reported. Because all of these variances are measurements of the cost associated with a specific variation in the production process, all of the formulas for variances are designed to report in terms of cost.
