Journal Drill Down

Journal No.

This field displays the source journal and journal number of the selected journal. The description of the source journal also appears.

 

Posting Date

This field displays the period-end date to which the selected source journal is posted.

 

Updated By

This field displays the user logon of the person who updated the journal.

 

Updated On

This field displays the date the selected journal is updated.

 

Updated At

This field displays the time the selected journal is updated.

 

Account No.

This field displays the general ledger account number of each transaction posted to the selected journal.

 

Description

This field displays the description of the general ledger account number of each transaction posted to the selected journal.

 

Debit

This field displays the debit amount of each transaction posted to the selected journal.

 

Credit

This field displays the credit amount of each transaction posted to the selected journal. Amounts in this field appear in red if they reduce the normal balance for the account. The normal balance for an asset account is a debit, so any credit posted to an asset account is shown in red. The normal balance for a liability account is a credit, so a credit posted to a liability account is shown in black.

 

Comment

This field displays the comment of each transaction posted to the selected journal. This field can be expanded to view additional comment information, if necessary, or you can click the Extended Comment button to view additional comment information in the Extended Comments window.
