Select any field from the primary table or any other table that is linked to the primary file. Collapse and expand the tree list to select fields. Double-click a field to add it to the expression.
Note A table is linked to the primary table if the key to the table is contained in one or more of the primary table's column names. If those column names have values (so the key can be assembled), data from the linked table is available to make assignments to the primary table fields.
This list box displays all data fields selected for import on this job. Double-click a field to add it to the expression being built in the Expression Text field.
This list box displays all conditional operators, as well as special functions. Double-click a function or operator to add it to the expression being built in the Expression Text field. Double-click a function and then double-click a field to insert the field within the function's parentheses.
This field displays the table name and column name, and can only be viewed.
This field displays the expression type (Calculation or Conditional), and can only be viewed.
You can edit the calculation expression in this field. As fields, functions, and operators are selected from the Available Fields, Current Job Fields, and Functions & Operators list boxes, they are added to this field automatically. The expression can be edited directly to add parentheses and make other changes.
