Create a Conditional Expression

Use this procedure to create a conditional expression for an import or export field.

 

To create a conditional expression

  1. Select Visual Integrator Main menu > Import Job Maintenance or Export Job Maintenance.

  2. In the Import Job Selection or Export Job Selection window, enter a new job name and table name, and then click Accept. For more information, see Import Job Selection - Fields or Export Job Selection - Fields.

  3. In Import Job Maintenance or Export Job Maintenance, click the Data tab. Double-click a field in the data file list box.

  4. In the Field Properties window, perform one of the following to enter a valid conditional expression to perform for the data item. A conditional expression consists of valid field names, conditional operators, functions, and constant values. The field names must be enclosed in curly brackets { }.

  5. If you selected a table for a module other than Material Requirements Planning or Work Order, enter a conditional expression in the Conditional field. Click the Expression Builder button to access the Expression Builder (Export) or Expression Builder (Import) window, which allows you to build a calculation expression by selecting from a list of data items and operators.   6. If you selected a table from the Material Requirements Planning or Work Order module, click Condition to access the Conditional Expression (Export) or Conditional Expression (Import) window. In the Conditional Expression window, enter a conditional expression or click the Calculation Expression Builder button to access the Expression Builder window. Click Accept to return to the Field Properties window. For more information, see Conditional Expression (Export) - Fields or Conditional Expression (Import) - Fields.

  1. Click Accept.

The expression is created for the field.
