Export to an ODBC Data Source

This is the final of three procedures needed to export to an ODBC data source. This procedure is different depending on which module you are exporting from.

 

Use one of the following methods to export to an ODBC data source:

 

To perform the export to the ODBC data source for modules other than Material Requirements Planning and Work Order

  1. Select Visual Integrator Main menu > Export Job Maintenance.

  2. In the Export Job Selection window, enter the job name and table name, and then click Accept. For more information, see Export Job Selection - Fields.

  3. In the Export Job Maintenance window, on the Export Job Maintenance Configuration tab, select ODBC Data Source in the File Type field. For more information, see Export Job Maintenance - Fields.

  4. In the ODBC field, select the data source you created.

  5. Click Tables.

  6. In the ODBC Table Select window, in the ODBC Table field, select the table name you want to export to and click Accept. Select only one table name.

  7. On the Export Job Maintenance Data tab, select a field name to export from the Available Fields list box and add the field to the Export Fields list box.

  8. Assign the appropriate column name to be updated for the field name added.

  9. Repeat steps 7 through 9 for each field you want to export, and click Accept.

  10. At the Execute Job prompt, click Yes.

  11. In the Export Job window, click Accept to perform the export. For more information, see Export Job - Fields.

The export to an ODBC data source is performed.

 

To perform the export to the ODBC data source for the Material Requirements Planning and Work Order modules

  1. Select Visual Integrator Main menu > Export Job Maintenance.

  2. In the Export Job Selection window, enter the job name and table name, and then click Accept. For more information, see Export Job Selection - Fields.

  3. On the Export Job Maintenance Configuration tab, select a file in the File Name field. For more information, see Export Job Maintenance - Fields.

  4. In the File Type field, select ODBC Data Source.

  5. In the Data Source field, select the data source you created.

  6. Click Tables.

  7. In the ODBC Table Select window, in the Table field, select the table name you want to export to and click Accept

  8. On the Export Job Maintenance Data tab, select a field name to export from the Available Fields list box and add the field to the Export Fields list box.

  9. Assign the appropriate column name to be updated for the field name added.

  10. Repeat steps 8 through 10 for each field you want to export, and click Accept.

  11. At the Execute Job prompt, click Yes.

  12. In the Export Job window, click Accept to perform the export. For more information, see Export Job - Fields.

The export to an ODBC data source is performed.
