Enter the date the memo is created, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. The system date defaults in this field.
Enter the expiration date to use when purging memos, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. The date entered in this field is used to select memos to purge in Purge Memo. The expiration date is based on the system date.
Enter a reminder start date to use for printing memos, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. The reminder start date is based on the system date.
The date entered can also be used to determine a date range for auto-displaying memos if Reminder Date is selected in the Auto Display field. If you enter the Reminder Start Date field and leave the Reminder End Date blank, the memos will always display after the start date. If you leave the Reminder Start Date field blank and enter the Reminder End Date field, the memos will display up until the end date. If you leave both the Reminder Start Date and Reminder End Date fields blank, the memos will always display.

Select an option to determine if this memo will automatically display during data entry.
Select the Never option to never allow this memo to display automatically during data entry.
Select Always to display this memo automatically during data entry without regard to the dates entered in the Reminder Start Date and Reminder End Date fields.
Select Reminder Date to display this memo during the range of dates entered in the Reminder Start Date and Reminder End Date fields.
You can override the selection in this field for specific memos in Override Auto Display Settings. For more information, see Override Auto Display Settings.
Note This field defaults to Never for memos created using a different task.
Enter the path and file name of the file to attach to this memo. Click the View Attachment button to open the attached file in the appropriate program.
Note The attachment must have a valid file extension to be viewed. To make the attachment accessible to other users, place the file on a common server before it is attached. To prevent users from accessing the attachment, secure the file through network permissions or file attribute.
Type the text for this memo. As the text reaches the end of each line, it wraps automatically to the next line.
