Use this procedure to purge production, disassembly, and/or engineering change history.

Back up your data before purging history information. For more information, see System FAQs.

To purge bill of materials history

  1. Select Bill of Materials Utilities menu > Purge Bill of Materials History.

  2. Select the Remove Production History check box to remove production history files. For more information, see Purge Bill of Materials History - Fields.

  3. In the Remove Production History Dated on or Before field, enter the date to use for removing production history files. All history files recorded on or before that date will be permanently removed.   

  4. Select the Remove Disassembly History check box to remove disassembly history files.

  5. In the Remove Disassembly History Dated on or Before field, enter the date to use for removing disassembly history files. All history files recorded on or before that date will be permanently removed.   

  6. Select the Remove Engineering Change History check box to remove engineering change history files.

  7. In the Remove Engineering Change History Dated on or Before field, enter the date to use for removing engineering change history files. All history files recorded on or before that date will be permanently removed.   

  8. Click Proceed. A message appears asking if you want to remove production history, disassembly history and/or engineering change history. Click Yes.

Production, disassembly, and/or engineering change history is purged. The System Activity Log is updated with the date, time. company code, user logon, purge description, and purge date.
