Use this procedure to send a test e-mail to verify that SMTP e-mail server information is entered correctly in Company Maintenance.

You can also send test e-mails when sending PDF documents. For more information, see E-mail or Fax PDF Documents.

Expand/Collapse item  Before You Begin

  • The SMTP (Mail) Server fields must be entered correctly in the Company Maintenance window to send a test e-mail successfully.

 

To send a test e-mail from Company Maintenance

  1. Use any of the following methods to access the Company Maintenance window:

  2. Log on to the software as the Administrator. The Administrative Tools screen appears. Click Company Maintenance.

  3. Select Library Master Main menu > Company Maintenance.

  1. Enter the company code. For more information, see Company Maintenance - Fields.

  2. Click the E-mail tab. Verify the SMTP (mail) server address is entered in the Address field. Click Test E-mail.

  3. In the Test E-mail window, enter information in the appropriate fields. For more information, see Test E-mail – Fields.

  4. To test the PDF Converter, click Test Converter.

  5. In the Test E-mail window, click Send.

The test e-mail is sent.
