Select Payroll Time Track menu > Punch In/Out.
Note This task is available if the Enable Time Track for TimeCard check box is selected in Payroll Options or Job Cost Options.
Use this task to punch in and out. Depending on your system settings, you may have fields to enter a department number, job number, cost code, or earnings code.
The Recent Activity area displays your punch in and out activity for the current day. If you have no activity for the current day, your last event from the prior day is shown instead.
The Hours Recap area displays your total hours for the current day and week.
Note You must have an associated shift to use this task. An associated shift is established in one of two ways:
- Shifts can be assigned to employees in the Employee Time Track Settings window.
- A shift can be designated as the default shift in Shift Maintenance. The default shift is used for any employee who doesn’t have an assigned shift.
