Create a local Windows user
To create a local Windows user

- Click Manage User Accounts.
- In the User Accounts window, click Add to create a local Windows user and add the user to the local Administrators group.
Download Sage 100 installation files
Download the following Sage 100 installation files to the virtual machine for the site at E:\AppBuilds:
- Sage 100 version 2023 or later
- Sage 100 version 2023 or later product update
- Sage 100 version 2023 or later hot fixes
- Sage 100 Payroll
Note: Since drive C is reserved for Operating System files, we recommend placing all Sage 100 installation files at E:\AppBuilds.
Apply Sage Partner Cloud hot fixes
Download and install the latest Sage Partner Cloud hot fixes for the version of the existing Sage 100 installed on the site.
Complete Upgrade Checklist
Complete the Upgrade Checklist on the Sage 100 Documents page.
Important! Do not make changes to the site in the Sage Provisioning Portal once the parallel migration process has started. Any changes will need to be reapplied after switching to the new Sage 100 version.
After completing the prerequisites above, see Installing Sage 100 applications.
