Expand/Collapse all Show/Hide All

If you have elected to punch in and out by Social Security number and have made entries in the Ignore How Many Leading Characters and Ignore How Many Trailing Characters fields in the TimeCard & TimeClock Options window, be aware of the following issues.

Expand/Collapse item  Example

If the Ignore How Many Leading Characters and Ignore How Many Trailing Characters fields are set to zero, the Social Security prompt appears as ###-##-####. If you specify to ignore 4 leading and 2 trailing characters, the prompt appears as ####-###-##-####-##.

Expand/Collapse item  Example

Assuming a leading setting of 2 and a trailing setting of 3, you would need to enter a minimum of 11 characters and a maximum of 15 characters (the leading 2, which will be ignored, followed by the 9 digits of the Social Security number, followed optionally by the 3 trailing characters, which will be ignored).
