Recalculate Feature

In the TimeCard Entry and Edit and TimeCard Entry - New Entries Only windows, click the Recalculate Fields button in the Date Worked field to recalculate hours in the Hours Worked fields, based on the work hours defined for the employee's shift in TimeClock Shift Maintenance. The system verifies what the regular and overtime hours for the shift should be for the entire week. If the actual hours equal the shift hours, no change is made; if the hours are not equal, the system recalculates the hours.

Note This feature is available if the Recalculate Hours Worked when Punch Times Change check box is selected in the TimeCard & TimeClock Options window.

Overtime for the Early shift begins after an employee has worked 40 hours in a week. An employee scheduled for the Early shift works 38 regular hours and 10 overtime hours for the week. The Recalculate feature will recalculate and add a record for 2 regular hours and a record for –2 overtime hours, resulting in 40 regular hours and 8 overtime hours.
