Select a link type.
Select General Ledger to link the salesperson to a General Ledger account number.
Select Vendor to link the salesperson to an Accounts Payable vendor if the Accounts Payable module is installed.
Select Employee to link the salesperson to a Payroll employee if the Payroll module is installed.
Enter the employee number to link to the salesperson, or click the Lookup button to list all employees.
This field is available only if Employee is selected in the Link Type field.
Enter the vendor number to link to the salesperson, or click the Lookup button to list all vendors.
Alternately, start typing a vendor name to locate a record. As you type, a list of records matching your entry appears. You can then select a record from the list, and the vendor number will appear in the field.
If you enter a vendor whose status is set to Inactive in Vendor Maintenance, a message appears warning you that the vendor is inactive and cannot be used.
This field is available only if Vendor is selected in the Link Type field.
Enter the general ledger accrual account number for posting commission accrual, or click the Lookup button to list all general ledger accounts. This field displays as Accrual Acct only if General Ledger is selected in the Link Type field.
Accounts can be created in this field if the appropriate settings are defined in the Auto Create when all Segments are Valid field in General Ledger Options.
Enter the earnings code to use, or click the Lookup button to list all earnings codes. This field displays as Earnings Code only if Employee is selected in the Link Type field.
Enter the general ledger account number to post to when linking the salesperson to the vendor, or click the Lookup button to list all general ledger accounts.
Accounts can be created in this field if the appropriate settings are defined in the Auto Create when all Segments are Valid field in General Ledger Options.
This field is available only if Vendor is selected in the Link Type field.
Enter the general ledger expense account number for posting commission expense, or click the Lookup button to list all general ledger accounts. This field displays Expense Acct only if General Ledger is selected in the Link Type field.
Accounts can be created in this field if the appropriate settings are defined in the Auto Create when all Segments are Valid field in General Ledger Options.
Enter the terms code to be used by the vendor, or click the Lookup button to list all Accounts Payable terms codes. This field is available only if Vendor is selected in the Link Type field.
