Select Payroll Main menu > Employee Maintenance. On the Employee Maintenance Wages tab, click Tax Status.

Overview

Use Tax Status to enter tax status information. The tax status information for a specific employee must be defined separately for federal, state, and local (if applicable) tax jurisdictions.

If you use multiple states or local codes for an employee, click OK after each entry to enter the next code. Only one code appears at a time.

Note The Local column is available only if the Require Local Tax Reporting check box is selected in Payroll Options.
