Change an Employee from One Department to Another

You can organize employees by department in order to post expenses and for departmental reports. Use this procedure if you need to change an employee’s department.

 

To change an employee's department

  1. Select Payroll Main menu > Employee Maintenance.

  2. Select the employee. For more information, see Employee Maintenance - Fields.

  3. Click Renumber.

  4. In the Renumber Employee window, enter the employee number preceded by the new department number. For more information, see Renumber Employee - Fields.

  5. Click OK.

The employee is now in a different department.
