You can create individual relationships between customers in Accounts Receivable and companies in Sage CRM. After a relationship is created for a customer and company, you can also create relationships between their contacts and ship-to addresses.

Relationships can be created in Accounts Receivable or in Sage CRM. Use the procedures below to create relationships from within Accounts Receivable for selected customers, contacts, and ship-to addresses.

Use the following procedures to create relationships between customers and Sage CRM companies:

To create a relationship between a customer and a Sage CRM company

To create a relationship between a customer contact and a Sage CRM company contact

To create a relationship between a ship-to address and a Sage CRM address

 

To create a relationship between a customer and a Sage CRM company

  1. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance.

  2. Enter the customer number to create a relationship for. For more information, see Customer Maintenance – Fields.

Note The Sage CRM Prospects customer in Sage 100 cannot be related to a Sage CRM company. Also, customers with existing sales orders or quotes cannot be related to Sage CRM companies.

  1. Click the Additional tab. Select the Relate to Sage CRM check box.

  2. In the Sage CRM Company field, enter the Sage CRM company to relate to the selected customer. To view suggested matches, click the Suggest Relationship button. To create a new Sage CRM company to relate to the customer, click the Next Sage CRM Company button.

  3. Click Accept.

A relationship is created between the Accounts Receivable customer and the Sage CRM company. If the record is updated in one system, it will be automatically updated in the other system. Contact and address information are not updated automatically; you must create separate relationships for contacts and addresses. For more information, see the following procedures.

 

To create a relationship between a customer contact and a Sage CRM company contact

Note An Accounts Receivable customer and Sage CRM company must be related before you can create relationships between their respective contacts.

Note Sage CRM allows the entry of separate business, mobile, and pager phone numbers for each contact. Only the Sage CRM business and home phone numbers are copied over to the Accounts Receivable contact. The Sage CRM business phone number is copied to the Telephone 1 field in the Customer Contact Maintenance window, and the Sage CRM home phone number is copied to the Telephone 2 field.

  1. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance.

  2. Enter the customer number. For more information, see Customer Maintenance – Fields.

  3. Click the drop-down button in the top right corner of the window and select Contacts.

  4. In Customer Contact Maintenance, enter the contact code to create a relationship for. For more information, see Customer Contact Maintenance – Fields.

  1. Select the Relate to Sage CRM check box. In the Sage CRM Contact field, enter the Sage CRM contact person to relate to the selected contact. To view suggested matches, click the Suggest Relationship button. To create a new Sage CRM contact person to relate to the customer contact, click the Next Sage CRM Person button.

  2. Click Accept.

A relationship is created between the Accounts Receivable customer contact and the Sage CRM company contact. If the contact is updated in one system, it will be automatically updated in the other system.

 

To create a relationship between a ship-to address and a Sage CRM address

Note An Accounts Receivable customer and Sage CRM company must be related before you can create relationships between their respective addresses.

  1. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance.

  2. Enter the customer number. For more information, see Customer Maintenance – Fields.

  3. Click the drop-down button in the top right corner of the window and select Ship Address.

  4. In Customer Ship-To Address Maintenance, enter the location code to create a relationship for. For more information, see Customer Ship-To Address Maintenance – Fields.

  5. Select the Relate to Sage CRM check box. In the Sage CRM Address field, enter the Sage CRM address to relate to the selected ship-to address. To view suggested matches, click the Suggest Relationship button. To create a new Sage CRM address to relate to the ship-to address, click the Next Sage CRM Address button.

  6. Click Accept.

A relationship is created between the Accounts Receivable customer ship-to address and the Sage CRM company address. If the address is updated in one system, it will be automatically updated in the other system.
