Delete a Relationship between a Customer and a Sage CRM Company

You can delete individual relationships between companies in Sage CRM and customers in Accounts Receivable. For a related customer and company, you can also delete relationships between company contacts and customer contacts and between company addresses and customer ship-to addresses. After a relationship is deleted, information is no longer synchronized between Sage CRM and Sage 100.

Relationships can be deleted in Accounts Receivable or in Sage CRM.

Note If you delete a relationship between a Sage CRM company and an Accounts Receivable customer, the relationships between their contacts and addresses are automatically deleted as well.

Relationship can be deleted only if there are no open sales orders, open quotes, or unposted invoices for the related company and customer.

 

Use the following procedures to delete a relationship between a customer and a Sage CRM company:

To delete a relationship between a customer and a Sage CRM company

To delete a relationship between a customer contact and a Sage CRM company contact

To delete a relationship between a ship-to address and a Sage CRM address

 

To delete a relationship between a customer and a Sage CRM company

  1. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance.

  2. Enter the customer number for the relationship to break. For more information, see Customer Maintenance – Fields.

  3. Click the Additional tab. Clear the Relate to Sage CRM check box. The Sage CRM Company field is cleared automatically.

  4. Click Accept.

The relationship is deleted. Information is no longer synchronized between these two records. Any relationships between the company and customer contacts and addresses are automatically deleted as well.

To delete a relationship between a customer contact and a Sage CRM company contact

Note If you deleted a relationship between a company and customer, any relationships between their contacts and addresses are automatically deleted as well.

  1. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance.

  2. Enter the customer number. For more information, see Customer Maintenance – Fields.

  3. Click the drop-down button in the top right corner of the window and select Contacts.  

  4. In Customer Contact Maintenance, enter the contact code to delete a relationship for. For more information, see Customer Contact Maintenance – Fields.

  1. Clear the Relate to Sage CRM check box. The Sage CRM Contact field is cleared automatically.  

  2. Click Accept.

The relationship is deleted. Information is no longer synchronized between these two records. To create a new relationship for the record, see Create a Relationship between a Customer and a Sage CRM Company.

 

To delete a relationship between a ship-to address and a Sage CRM address

Note If you deleted a relationship between a company and customer, any relationships between their contacts and addresses are automatically deleted as well.

  1. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance.

  2. Enter the customer number. For more information, see Customer Maintenance – Fields.  

  3. Click the drop-down button in the top right corner of the window and select Ship Address.

  4. In Customer Ship-To Address Maintenance, enter the location code to create a relationship for. For more information, see Customer Ship-To Address Maintenance – Fields.

  5. Clear the Relate to Sage CRM check box. The Sage CRM Address field is cleared automatically.

  6. Click Accept.

The relationship is deleted. Information is no longer synchronized between these two records. To create a new relationship for the record, see Create a Relationship between a Customer and a Sage CRM Company.
