Employee Time Track Settings

Badge Number

Enter a badge number for the employee to enter when punching in and out in the Punch In/Out window. Only alphanumeric characters and dashes are allowed.

If no badge number is entered, and Badge No. is selected in the Punch In Method field in Time Track Options, the employee will not be able to punch in or out.

 

Password

Enter a password for the employee to use when punching in and out in the Punch In/Out window.

This field is available only if the Require Employee Password check box is selected in Time Track Options.

If you require a password but leave this field blank, the employee will not be able to use the Punch In/Out window.

 

Shift Code

Enter a default shift code or click the Lookup button to view all shift codes. This will be the default shift code in Time Track Entry and for Punch In/Out entries, but it can be changed. If you leave this field blank, the default shift code selected in Shift Maintenance is used.

The employee must have an assigned shift code to use the Punch In/Out window. If this field is blank and there is no default shift selected in Shift Maintenance, the employee will not be able to punch in or out.

 

Regular Time Earnings Code

Enter a default earnings code for regular time or click the Lookup button to view all earnings codes. This will be the default regular-time earnings code in Time Track Entry, but it can be changed. This will also be the default regular-time earnings code in Punch In/Out, but it can be changed with the appropriate security setup.

If you leave this field blank, the default regular-time earnings code entered in Shift Maintenance for the employee's assigned shift is used. If an earnings code is entered in the Default Values for Time Track Entry window, it will override the earnings code entered in this field and in Shift Maintenance.

Note Tip and fixed amount earnings codes cannot be used as a default for regular time.

 

Overtime Earnings Code

Enter a default earnings code for overtime or click the Lookup button to view all earnings codes. This will be the default overtime earnings code in Time Track Entry, but it can be changed.

If you leave this field blank, the default overtime earnings code entered in Shift Maintenance for the employee's assigned shift is used.

Note Tip and fixed amount earnings codes cannot be used as a default for overtime.

 

Unscheduled Leave Earnings Code

Enter a default earnings code for unscheduled leave or click the Lookup button to view all earnings codes. This will be the default unscheduled leave earnings code in Time Track Entry, but it can be changed.

If you leave this field blank, the unscheduled leave earnings code entered in Shift Maintenance for the employee's assigned shift is used.

 

Cost Code

Enter a default cost code or click the Lookup button to view all cost codes. This will be the default cost code in Time Track Entry, but it can be changed.

This field is available only if the Enable Time Track for TimeCard check box is selected in Job Cost Options.
