Enter the customer number to use for adding or maintaining invoice amounts.
Alternately, start typing a customer name to locate a record. As you type, a list of records matching your entry appears. You can then select a record from the list, and the customer number will appear in the field.
Click the Lookup button to list all customer numbers. Click the Clearing Entries List button to display a list of customer/vendor entries selected for clearing.
A new customer can be added on the fly. The Customer Maintenance (On the Fly) window appears; some nonessential fields are omitted to speed data entry. Access Customer Maintenance at a later time to complete the remaining entries for a new customer.
A new vendor and customer link can be added on the fly. The Vendor and Customer Link Maintenance (On the Fly) window appears; some nonessential fields are omitted to speed data entry. Access Vendor and Customer Link Maintenance at a later time to complete the remaining entries for a new vendor and customer link.
If you enter a customer whose status is set to Inactive in Customer Maintenance, a message appears warning that the customer is inactive and cannot be used.
This field displays the vendor number linked to the customer number entered, and can only be viewed.
Click the Vendor Memo button to view, create, or maintain memos. The Vendor Memo button is available only if the appropriate memo type has been set up in Memo Manager Maintenance for this task. If a memo already exists for this task, the Vendor Memo button appears yellow. If a memo does not exist, the Vendor Memo button appears blue. For more information, see Memo Maintenance.
The Select Invoices button located above the primary grid allows you to select customer invoices.

Quick Row
This field displays the number of the selected row in the primary grid. Additional fields for the selected row appear in the secondary grid. Enter a row number to view or edit information for a different row, or click the Find Row button to search for a row in the Search Grid window.
Line Number
This field displays the line number in the grid and can only be viewed. The line number appears red for lines that are new or modified. After the Accept button is clicked, the line number changes from red to black.
Enter the customer invoice number to clear, or click the Lookup button to list all open invoice numbers. This field is available only if an open item customer is selected in the Customer No. field.
Type the discount amount to apply. The posted amount is automatically reduced by the discount amount entered; the posted amount is reduced for both open item customers and balance forward customers.
Enter the amount to post, or click the Calculator button to enter an amount using the calculator. If the Discount Amount field is entered, the posted amount is automatically reduced by the discount amount; the posted amount is reduced for both open item customers and balance forward customers.
The invoice balance is reduced by the posted amount and appears automatically for the open item customers. For balance forward customers, no invoice balance information appears.
