Salesperson Maintenance

Salesperson No.

Enter the salesperson number representing the salesperson to add or maintain, or click the Lookup button to list all salespeople. If the Accounts Receivable Divisions check box is selected in Accounts Receivable Options, precede the salesperson number with a valid two-digit division number.

Note If divisions are not set up and you enter ALL as the salesperson number, you will not be able to enter a record for this salesperson in Line Item Commission Maintenance.

 

Name

Enter the salesperson's name.

Country

Enter the country code, or click the Lookup button to list all country codes.

A country code is needed to ensure that the correct city and state or province are entered based on the ZIP or postal code.

The default country code entered on the Preferences tab in Company Maintenance is entered in this field by default, but you can change it.

If you enter a country code that's not on file, a message asks if it's a new one. Click Yes to open the Country Code Maintenance (On the Fly) window to add the country code.

 

Address

Enter the salesperson's address. Click the Map button to view a map of the location on the Internet.

 

Zip/Postal Code

Enter the ZIP or postal code.

If you enter a ZIP or postal code that's not on file, a message asks if it's a new one. Click Yes to open the ZIP/Postal Code Maintenance window and add a new code.

 

City

Enter the name of the city.

 

State/Province

Enter the state or province abbreviation.

 

Telephone

Enter the salesperson's telephone number. Select the type of phone number in the field to the right.

For countries other than Canada and the United States, the telephone country code is automatically added to the beginning of the phone number based on the country code.

 

Ext

Enter the salesperson's telephone extension number.

 

E-mail Address

Enter the salesperson's e-mail address. Click the E-mail button compose an e-mail in your default e-mail application.

If the eBusiness Manager module is installed and registered, this e-mail address is used to send e-mail messages to salespeople for each notification that has been set up accordingly in E-mail Notification Maintenance.

 

Commission Rate (Salesperson)

Enter the percentage at which the salesperson normally earns commissions. This rate can be overridden in Sales Order Entry, Sales Order Invoice Data Entry, and Accounts Receivable Invoice Data Entry; it will be overridden on a per-item basis if a rate is entered in the Commission Rate field for an item in Item Maintenance.

This rate can also be overridden by rates and amounts entered in the Commission Rate / Amount field in Line Item Commission Maintenance; whether this rate is overridden depends on the effective date, customer, and salesperson entered in Line Item Commission Maintenance.

Sales Manager

Enter the salesperson number for the sales manager, or click the Lookup button to list all salespeople. This field is available only if the Sales Order module is installed, and if the Split Commissions Between Salespersons check box is selected in Sales Order Options.

A new sales manager can be added on the fly. The Salesperson Maintenance (On the Fly) window appears; some non-essential fields are omitted to speed data entry. Access this task at a later time to complete the remaining entries for the new sales manager.

 

Commission Rate (Sales Manager)

Enter the percentage at which the sales manager normally earns commissions. This rate can be overridden in Sales Order Entry and Sales Order Invoice Data Entry. This field is available only if the Sales Order module is integrated with Accounts Receivable, and if the Split Commissions Between Salespersons check box is selected in Sales Order Options.

 

Relate to Sage CRM

This check box is selected if a relationship between the salesperson's Sage 100 user logon and the Sage CRM user logon has been set up in Salesperson User Mapping. This allows the salesperson to access Sage 100 tasks from Sage CRM. If this check box is cleared, a relationship between the salesperson's Sage 100 and their Sage CRM user logon does not exist. This field is displayed only if the Customer Relationship Management module is active for the current company. This field can only be viewed.

 

Sage CRM User Logon

This field displays the Sage CRM user logon mapped to the current salesperson and can only be viewed. This field is displayed only if the Customer Relationship Management module is active for the current company.

 

Sage 100 User Logon

This field displays the Sage 100 user logon mapped to the current salesperson and can only be viewed. The Sage 100 user logon must be unique for each salesperson. This field is displayed only if the Customer Relationship Management module is set up, and the Use Unified Logon check box is not selected in System Configuration.

2. History

 

Fiscal Year

Select a fiscal year for determining the information to display on the History tab. The fiscal years available in this field are defined in Fiscal Year Maintenance. This field defaults to the value entered in the Current Fiscal Year field in Accounts Receivable Options.  

 

Period

This field displays the fiscal periods based on the fiscal year information defined in Fiscal Year Maintenance and the selection in the Fiscal Year field.

 

Ending

This field displays the fiscal year ending dates based on the fiscal year information defined in General Ledger Fiscal Year Maintenance and the selection in the Fiscal Year field.

 

Commissionable Sales

This field displays the commissionable sales for the selected fiscal period and year. The total of all of the period commissionable sales is displayed in the Total row.

The entry in this field can be modified with the appropriate security setup.

 

Profit $

This field displays the calculated amount of profit for the selected fiscal period and year. The total of all period-gross profits is displayed in the Total row.

The entry in this field can be modified with the appropriate security setup.

 

Commission

This field displays the commissions for the selected fiscal period and year. The total of all the period commissions is displayed in the Total row.

The entry in this field can be modified with the appropriate security setup.

Commissionable Sales PY

This field displays the commissionable sales for the prior fiscal year for the fiscal period. The total of all the prior year commissionable sales is displayed in the Total row.

This field can be viewed only if you click the Switch View button.

 

Profit $ PY

This field displays the calculated amount of profit for the prior fiscal year for the fiscal period. The total of all the prior year profit amounts is displayed in the Total row.

This field can be viewed only if you click the Switch View button.

 

Commission PY

This field displays the commissions for the prior fiscal year for the fiscal period. The total of all the prior year commissions is displayed in the Total row.
